My granddaughter went to a fun carnival at her school and brought home a little candy man around her neck. They used a round candy for the head, tootsie rolls for the arms, snack size candy bars for the body, and small rolls mints for the legs, you could use fabric for the necklace, they used ribbons. It was really cute. A little glue and candy,a great project. I can't wait for Halloween.

How about sachets for dresser drawers that you can put lavender in? Smells so pretty! Candle mats? Tea bag holders?

I bought a badge holder at our quilt show. It hangs around your neck and has a pocket in front with clear vinyl so you can put your id badge in it. The a pocket behind. I store a small pad of paper and my blue tooth for my phone and a couple of pens.
It's square and probably 3x3" made of beautiful batik fabric. I get so many compliments on it and people always want to know where I got it. |
I did some tutorials for small stuff. You can make the fronts as easy as you want.

someone in our guild uses her 100% cotton scraps to make dog beds and donates them to the local shelters, they are washable and go with the pets when the doggies are adopted. isn't that a neat idea?
