At our annual quilt show we want to have an area where we sell small craft items. We do not charge admission and need to make a little money to support club. Would appreciate ideas for things that we could make fairly easily that would sell. Thanks!

I just watched a video on Quilter's TV on making Log-cabin chicken blocks into pin cushions. Fast, functional, and cute.
How about potato bags for the microwave? How about heating rolls (filled with rice) for neck muscles? How about the old standby - pot holders (especially the long one that grabs the casserole easy)? Pretty sure there are free patterns available. |
Purses and totes are extremely popular right now...and if you promote those quilted totes as "insulated" shopping bags for cold and frozen foods, you should do well with them!

Also pincushions. Maybe different types? Finger pincushions, pillows, and I personally would buy one of the chicken pincushions -- saw one at a fabric store and fell in love!

If I remember correctly, it also doubles as a tortilla warmer. Thanks Up North for the link. |
