I take The Quilter. Quilt World, Fon's and Porter Love of quilting. Quiltmaker and Mc Calls quilting. Also Mc Calls Quick Quilts and Fon's and Porter Easy Quilts. I love them all and have used patterns from most of them with good results.

I love Quilters World, and Block is good.

It really depends on if you are more into traditional patterns or more contemporary or art quilts, as to which magazine to get. Some have a bit of modern and traditional, but some really cater to one and not the other.

I have had different subscriptions through the years and some just weren't too good but I just received my first issue of McCalls Quilting and just loved the patterns in it....plus there was a c.d. with it that gave me access to all of 2013 issues! Just thought it was a great deal for a subscription in todays economy.

McCalls and Quiltmaker. and of course here on the www is some of the best stuff you'll ever get. Video's are a huge help to folks as they can see what's being done. Find a local quilt shop and take a class or two and ask the folks which ones they like the best. I'd buy several different ones, over several months, before getting a subscription.

I've subscribed to Quiltmaker for a number of years, as well as McCall's Quilting and McCall's Quick Quilts. Occasionally I might pick up a different magazine if there is something that I like.

Actually my very favorite is Quilt Mania. It is very hard to find. Sometimes I can find it in a big JoAnns.

Hello, my name is Nancy and I'm quilting magazinaholic! Unfortunately, I'm serious about that--I take Quilter's Newsletter (like the information and show quilts featured but haven't made any of their patterns);McCalls and American Patchwork--both which I like the patterns and have used; Quiltmaker--also another good one for pattens PLUS the have diagrams of suggested quilting designs; Love of Quilting-I have also used several of their patterns, Machine Quilters Unlimited--very good for those of us that long arm or quilt on our domestic machine; belong AQS so get their mag--ho-hum. Have taken others but am really trying to control this addiction.
I'd suggest that you purchase several different ones for a couple of months and then pick one or 2 that have patterns that appeal most to you. Also, many guilds sell past copies in boutiques at shows or at their "garage sales"--you can get a bundle for little $$ and do some comparison shopping.
