I also use old clothing patterns to transfer quilting patterns onto. I can quilt through these and then just tear them off.

Also, If you look closely at the bottom of the Urban elementz.com page they have some free patterns you can either print off or down load digitally.

Joann's, Hobby Lobby and Hancock has some of the plastic patterns. Hancocks are especially reasonable in price, I think. I even got some that were on clearance last week for .40 cents. great deal.

Try this site. i use their products all the time and like them. The Ideas they have can get you started and then move into creating your own patterns. Take a look!

Once in a while I can find them at a LQS but normally I stock up on them when the quilt show is here in NPN, Va

The Clover white marking pen is great for dark fabrics and the blue wash out markers also work great for the light fabrics. Always do a test, though.

I also use Crayola Washable markers with the fine point. Again, test first...don't ask me why! It was the brown on the yellow fabric I think.

I use the fine line purple erasing markers, they disappear after 24 hours completely. I mark as I go with these.

The blue wash away markers work great on everything but pink. They some times hang on there...

The blue Chaco chalk sometimes has an issue, but I haven't had a problem with the white chaco

Wow, great site, what a selection. I've even used cookies cutters to trace around for a small design.
