I cut back drastically in the summer. To many outdoor things to do.

It's suppose to be in the 90's today and I'm still working on my denim and flannel rag quilt. Not quite the right time of year for this but I have to finish it before I let myself start on something "cooler". Good thing basements, where my sewing area is, are 10 degrees cooler.

I love to make quilts in the summer. We are usually traveling in our 5th wheel and my husband is usually out fishing. I love quilting in the 5th wheel. I can totally clean it in 5 minutes (it's only 24' long), and then I can spend the rest of the day quilting. I take frequent breaks and take my fur baby out for walks and enjoy the scenery, and then back to my favorite - quilting. I enjoy fishing, too, but I am definitely a fair weather fisher person. If the wind is blowing, or it is too hot or too cold, I stay in and quilt.

I probably quilt more in the summer just because I can't stand the heat or the sun. My dear friend has a LA that she lets me rent and use so I spend time in her basement and I am a happy camper!

Nope. I just crank up the AC and sew, sew, sew.

I quilt the same amount in the summer as in the winter. It's so relaxing to be working on a quilt. :-D

Never quilt in the summer would be like not being happy. It is an all year pleasure .I do move my machine to my dining room where it is cooler than my sewing room.

No time for quilting in the summer. Too many baseball games
(4 Grandsons play) am now painting our outbuildings red (oil paint, very messy) and mow a lot of lawn and maintain 3 flower gardens. I can quilt when it's too cold tok outdoors. I do go to our wkly LQS to visit w/my quilt group and see what they have done or are working on.
