I usually use Coats and clark quilting thread. To keep breakage down I have to use a size 16 needle.

I'll use any of these three 50 wt threads...Aurifil, Connecting Threads or Craftsy. Some threads do cause more lint to pile up in the bobbin case. Simply clean it out a little more often.
