This is a panel one I did for our grandaughter..
You could add a border of flying geese. I did that with a quilt that I wanted to extend the size of. Make the top and bottom, sides geese larger or smaller to work with what you want. I used pinwheel for corner squares.
check out the "Sidelights" pattern. I have used it for panels and love the results.
Love that panel. She is going to be happy!!
Panels are so difficult. At least they are for me. Lots of great ideas here, I love the idea of finding a focus fabric and adding the blocks to the top and bottom. Check out pintrest for ideas also.

What a fun quilt. Awesome work.
Cute panel. I have seen some panel quilts made with the attic window pattern and it is very pretty. That is if you want to cut up the panel??!! Good Luck on your adventure with a panel.
remember the borders on the top/bottom and the sides do not have to be the exact same. As an example, you could add 2.5 top and bottom but only 1.75 sides.

I add a panel to top and bottom and put their name
On it using applique, makes it more personal, likeFOR MY DAUGHTER at The top and name, date at the bottom. Then panels to Bring it all together to the size you need! |
