Very modern! I did a D9P without borders and another little 9-patch baby quilt without borders.

And I have an old Mennonite quilt from Ontario which is all wild little nine-patches and scrappy which as no borders.

I'm really loving quilts without borders right now! I made this scrappy one as a gift for our dog groomer. I didn't put a binding on it either.

I've gotten really bored with the look of borders... haven't used borders in a while.

Just an FYI. When doing quilts without borders and taking it to a longarmer it is helpful to stay stitch 1/8" from the edge. This will prevent your stitching coming undone, if you haven't back stitched at the beginning and end of each row, as we manipulate your quilt top.

I have a no border quilt that I carry around in my car as an emergency, picnic, cold day on the bleachers quilt. I looks terrific without any border. Just wall to wall 2 inch scrappy squares!

I make ALL my quilts without borders. Just am disable and old so I want to keep things simple. Just add the number of blocks to get the size of the quilt you want to make.

Julie Herman of Jaybird Quilts designs all her quilts without borders. Her book is titled Skip the Borders.

No binding?

I used the birthing method on it. I liked the look of the quilt blocks going completely to the edge.

I prefer borders on my quilts, they seem finished to me with borders. They won't get wobbly or wonky if they are measured the right way. Just what I do for my quilts.
Your quilt your way, no right way to do anything.
