I rag all of mine - Like that I don't have to fight with binding :)

I just returned from "Yard Sale Thursdays", and came right to this site to see if anyone had responded. THANK YOU ALL. I am glad to know that it can be finished either way and if I "rag" it, to stitch around twice, at 1/2" . I will post my efforts. This site is awesome!

I bind mine, I don't like the fringe around my face when Im sleeping.

I like to rag the edges. Binding is a rather formal process and extra trouble which I usually reserve for heirloom style or sort of quilts/blankets. Or a strong finish perfect for those constant chewers (small children & animals).

No binding. I just made one out of flannel and it is so soft

I've done it both ways. I think it is a personal preference.

I have all the rag quilt dies in existence and the edge is rag and not binded. Love, love, love all of those dies.
