When my guild was making donation rag quilts everyone had the Fiskars but when they used my Heritage ones I couldn't get them back. They are made to last and never get stuck closed or open. Mine are years old and still cut like new.

These are the ones I use too.

I love my Heritage ones too. I have another pair, maybe Fiskars, but the Heritage are much better.

Roguquilter, Accuquilt have a rag die, it cuts the square with the edges ragged.

I've seen that die but wondered how you sew them together with all that fringe?
I've "ragged out" after making a bunch last Christmas :D

I have the large rag die. I cut my batting using the six inch square die. Sewing the squares together is easy. If one of the rag snips get caught in the seam just clip it out. Or do what I do most of the time, make the quilt rag on both sides by overlapping the seams and sewing down the middle.

I love my Friskars, was lucky enough to find them on clearance at Michaels. Bought them up and shared with my sisters.

My husband helps me cut rag quilt seams. We lay the quilt on the table. He starts on the left and I start in the middle as we move across the row. He prefers the Fiskars but I prefer the Heritage.
