You're way ahead of me. I haven't tried a rag quilt yet (although I placed an order for some flannel Dr Seuss fabric so I can try one).

Don't sell yourself short. Give it time. God didn't make the world in one day so don't expect to be a professional right off the bat. Practice. Make one block at a time. Try out the block with paper to see what it should look like. DO NOT GIVE UP

Do what makes you happy, and if that's sticking with what works, then do that. On the other hand, don't be discouraged if the first few projects using other techniques didn't come out quite right. It takes some practice. You can do it!

If rag quilts suit you and you enjoy making them then do it! Honest, there are no quilt police!

Every rag quilt I have made has been joyfully accepted and used. They are loveable and cuddly. Kids, (and older) are not afraid to use them. I have made many quilts, but the rags are the most loved of all. Go for it and do what you love to do. And, if you choose to try something new, enjoy that and know it does not have to be perfect to be lovely and enjoyed. Happy stitching!! ;)

There's room in the quilt world for you to be you, and do what you like to do.

But remember we're here for you when you want to spread your wings a little or alot.

Nothing at all. Just do what you like best.

Rag quilts are what I plan on doing since I am taking up quilting so late in life (72 yrs old), I do not think I would ever get the poeced quilts finished. I should finally get my sewing room set up next week and get started on some rag quilts for my great grandchildren for Christmas.
Take care.
