Now what can I do? :| I held it up and it will never lay nicely flat there. I tried pulling it flat from the back--no luck. It didn't wrinkle under the other two pieces... just the dark one. Waaaaahhhh!
|
Could you try re-ironing it and lifting it while its still warm?
|
Just went over for a look and it doesn't really show on the pic. That's suede right? Well bearing in mind that I have zero experience of working with suede (!) could you sweep the mane out of the way, lay a damp cloth over it and press very gently with an iron? Or would that flatten the pile? I'm sorry - it's a pain...

k3n--it's not that one...it's the next one.
Reheat--huh... maybe that would work... |

Just call it texturized.

Did the pics disappear?
|
Maybe dampen the backing/batting behind it and steam it loose and move it? But your stitching could end up buckling it back in place...you may have to redo it also....
|
I didn't put up pics....
And-there are no stitches in it yet--it's just ironed and stuck. I'm going to try your ideas! I'll let you know what happens. I must confess... after getting the first one so far, I had a moment of bold confidence, so went in and placed the next heads and chests and ironed those babies tight! THEN, I remembered I needed to have the fringe (manes) UNDER the parts BEFORE ironing them. So--I scratched them up just half an inch in order to get the manes under, then reironed. It worked. Now this! I need a tearing out hair smiley! Ugh. I have the Splash of Fall project started--maybe I should switch to that! |
Lay the top onto a towel, that will help keep the nap nice... I just noticed the pic I was looking at was the one from the magazine... so disregard what I wrote about the stitches...
If after steaming, sometimes the adhesive doesn't want to stick again... just slip a little piece back under that area, press, remove the paper and press again  tweezers help here :D:D:D |
