I would suggest to anyone planning on using the red/white combo in a quilt to read, read, read, the pros and cons of Retayne and Synthralpol before starting your project.

BTW...is your washer a front or top loader? I'm reluctant to start a felting project because I have a front loader which uses less water etc...very efficient except for felting and I'm wondering about prewashing, as well.

Ask your DH to look for it, whenever I lose something, I ask my hubby if he can spot it and he usually does (like someone else said "right in front of me".

Look in the freezer. I found my tampons there once.

OMG I had an immediate response, complete with chills! Very funny. I also put things in "safe places." Still looking for a neatly packaged collection of green batiks. Maybe they ran away?

Funny you would mention it being Sunday. It reminds me of something she used to say. Anytime she told the story of sewing through her finger on her treadle machine she would say it happened because it was a sin to sew (work) on Sunday! Boy, we've come a long way from those days!

Does anyone remember when the departments stores were closed on Sunday? And forget trying to buy a car on Sunday.

Hope you find your retayne soon!

The whole bunch of you sound so much like me that I have to laugh!
How about under the kitchen sink? I keep some of my cleaning supplies there, but I don't have any small children either.......

Found it in my box of scraps!

I couldn't find my E6000 anywhere, no one knew what happened to it. Went to the store with a coupon, they were out, so I used the coupon on a puzzle instead. At the register, found a tube, so I bought it anyway. Of course, now I have two tubes. Found it as soon as I got home.

It's in a "safe" place, along with the items I put in that "safe" place! When you stop looking, it will come out of that "safe" place.
