I know its frustrating, I have 6 kids and 11 grandkids, something is always happening to something at my house. Instead of getting mad, upset, or frustrated I just started making whatever it was that happened part of the journal entry for that quilt. My kids and I get the journal out sometimes and just look for the stories.

I come back and start sewing, only to get a button hole stitch! I spotted it pretty sharpish, but it's made a bit of a mess. I'm really upset, I've worked so hard on piecing and the quilting because I'm new and I didn't want to make a mistake and now it's like it's been ruined. Looks like i'm in for an evening of frog-stitching (rip-it rip-it) :-( Sorry to vent, but I needed to! |

I always had a rule for my 3 boys. Mom's quilting machine, scissors etc were off limits to them unless you want to be in BIG TROUBLE!!! It worked.
