That is really sad ill have to take a picture of a quilt top I found for $2.50

I like it... looks nice and cozy. Cute animals on it, too. Some child will love that.

I found a unfinished quilt top at a thrifts shop for $3, and my quilting instructor and I turned it into 2 fundraiser lap quilts for our senior center over the past holiday season. I have 2 other incomplete quilt tops from a thrift shop that I will finish and donate them or use them as a raffel fundraiser for a nonprofit organization. I don't know how to post a picture of the lapquilts we completed.

I didn't know that poly batting would disintegrate. How long does it take?

Still looking for finds like this....that's my plan too...to donate it to charity....hopefully someday soon... yours is adorable and some child will love it.....

Let's all remember we do not know the whole story on why this was donated. I donate all the time to those that do not have. The trift stores to some are like going to the mall.

I also agree with ckcowl and dunster. Don't judge until you walked in my shoes please.

Any suggestions as to where to look for this?

I would REALLY like to know if poly batting does disintegrate??? If anyone knows the answer to this one - please enlighten me. I have several "older" quilts that have been passed down and all but one seems to have poly batting (when was poly batting even invented?) ...... all are in good shape.

Suzi: Would like to know too. I am getting ready to put Soft & Bright needle punch into a quilt sure hope it doesn't fall apart. Any info or experience from others would be appreciated.
