I like the blue much better, too. The lime green just didn't seem to go with the blocks.

AlvaStitcher 03-18-2014 05:25 AM

I totally agree with the blue instead of the lime green. Will be a beautiful quilt.

Realtorlin 03-18-2014 05:35 AM

The blue looks really great!

quilter68 03-18-2014 05:40 AM

Much better!!!!

MarthaT 03-18-2014 05:49 AM

Blue is much better. Do you have enough of the purple for cornerstones? Please share pics of the completed quilt!

roserips 03-18-2014 05:51 AM

Great color for your sashing I like it and I think you do to.

Taughtby Grandma 03-18-2014 05:56 AM

I like this better, it picks up the blue in the blocks, the green overshadowed it.

matraina 03-18-2014 06:23 AM

I like the blue much better. It just makes the quilt look more "peaceful".

lorimax5859 03-18-2014 06:31 AM

That's perfect!

roadrunr 03-18-2014 06:33 AM

looks better with the blue

Quilter 65 03-18-2014 06:40 AM

The blocks are very well done. I like the blue better as well.

cpcarolyn 03-18-2014 06:40 AM

I like the blue.

debbieoh 03-18-2014 06:55 AM

I like the blue and I agree with your family the green just doesn't do anything for your beautiful squares

BettyGee 03-18-2014 07:18 AM

The blue looks fantastic, it adds but doesn't detract from your beautiful blocks. It's a keeper.

Carol34446 03-18-2014 07:24 AM

Love the blue, green needs to be on quilt with some brighter blocks.

Bluelady 03-18-2014 07:34 AM

The blue looks great!
So much better than the green

tessagin 03-18-2014 07:37 AM

The blue would be my choice!

karenpatrick 03-18-2014 07:38 AM

I would try a soft yellow.

bearisgray 03-18-2014 08:23 AM

Maybe my my monitor is off. To me, the aqua in the sashing and the green in the blocks - thhe blocks are very nicely done - are just different enough to be annoying. Altthogh thiis choice is a lot less jarring than the original chartreuse.

Perhaps try something with the coloor of the flowers in the print that is in the blocks - peach?

orangeroom 03-18-2014 08:42 AM

The blue goes much better. You already know that though. Sometimes you just need to be able to look at something from a different perspective. Nice work on the blocks.

JanieH 03-18-2014 08:47 AM

While I liked the green, I love the blue!

Jean in Ohio13452 03-18-2014 08:49 AM

Goes alot better you can actually see the Blocks now with out the Green neon fabric... Love the Blue...

TeresaA 03-18-2014 08:51 AM

Very pretty and nice improvement. Thanks for sharing!

BETTY62 03-18-2014 08:55 AM

Go with the blue. I love it.

dorismae904 03-18-2014 08:58 AM

I vote for the blue sashing.

purplefiend 03-18-2014 09:08 AM

The blue sashing looks much better!

MargeD 03-18-2014 09:11 AM

I like the blue as it pulls the blue out of the print in the blocks. Very nice quilt by the way.

AlaskaAlice 03-18-2014 12:13 PM

the 2nd choice is better... is better what you really want?
I think I would try something that, if right would make your beautiful blocks do all of the above suggestions and more..
confusing isn't it?
You will find the best..and if blue print is best..go for it:)

red-warrior 03-18-2014 01:57 PM

Iam a blue vote!!! Love the look!

caspharm 03-18-2014 05:34 PM

Nice choice. I like it much better.

nana20010 03-18-2014 06:09 PM

blue makes me feel happy

cowgirlquilter 03-18-2014 06:20 PM

I like the blue. Gives it a nostalgic feel, which goes perfectly with your blocks.

RST 03-18-2014 07:20 PM

The blue is nice, but I'd personally want to wake it up a bit. Try using your lime green as a flange (narrow folded border along the outer edge. Or maybe make cornerstone pieced blocks with some green. If neither of those does it for you, think about using the green as binding. Or use the green as smaller accents all 3 places.

The blue is much easier on the eye than the lime green. It gives the blocks a true vintage feel as well.

Yooper32 03-19-2014 03:27 AM

That's the right answer.

DebbieG 03-19-2014 04:26 AM

blue is perfect!!!

I totally agree with feline fanatic. I think the blue print in the sashing "fights" with the blue print in the blocks. If you could match the color of the flowers in the blocks (peachy pink?) with a solid color for the sashing, that might be a really nice complimentary color. But, as others have said, it's your quilt and you have to be happy with it!! Good luck and let us see final product.

michelleoc 03-19-2014 08:54 AM

I like the blue, it makes the eyes focus more on the lovely blocks.

Dina 03-19-2014 09:10 AM

I really like the blue. It is a good choice. Your quilt will be lovely!
