O.k. I know some of you may be wondering what became of all the name ideas you offered when I asked for suggestions for a name in my dream of owning a fabric shop.

I was overwhelmed by all the suggestions.

After much thought, prayer, discussion, and playing around with all the ideas both posted and PM'd to me and several brought up on the homefront....

I now have a business - name, ID,and license.

The name is:
Quilter's Pantry
"Opening the Door to Sew Many Possibilities"

I DO NOT have a store yet, nor a web site going. We are still working out all the details.

Thank you for all your help, thoughts, prayers and encouragement.

How exciting. Love your "slogan" It's a fantasy of mine to do something with a quilt store. Work in one, teach classes, inventory, buy one, rent one..you get the idea....LOL I keep saying to my LQS owner, I'm going to work here one day..... We'll see. BEST OF LUCK AND MUCH SUCESS TO YOU....

That sounds like a perfect name, Phyllis. It is catchy and easy to remember. I sincerely hope you get to open your shop soon. I, too, would love to work for you; I am sure I would learn a lot from you and it is really fun to be around quilters, but I hang out at our local quilt shop a lot making pillow cases for the million pillow case challenge and for classes and bi-weekly sit and sews and so on, and I know from being there so much that it can be a lot of really hard work, as well as being fulfilling .

I certainly do want to try to visit your store when you open. With all the cute things you make, it will be a very special store and well decorated and very appealing. I know you will keep us posted of when you are due to open. Pam.

What a great name. A couple of years ago I was thinking of doing my own business. You may want to check out your local Small Busines office has a SCORE program. I know San Diego is one of the best but they are free or low cost assistance in preparing to start your business and afterwards. Ours even had a contest each year for the best business plan written by their students. The prize was very nice software package.

The name is perfect. Look forward to you opening an online branch too. With children down south, I might even be able to visit the brick and mortar one also. Prayers for success in your path forward.
