Reversible Quilt Questions
I am wanting to do a reversible quilt for my nephews. The two themes their parents want do not match or complement in colors at all. I can make it work by doing a reversible quilt: one side with fabrics relating to professional teams in their city and the other side with their favorite college theme fabrics.
Can I do one using the same quilt pattern on both sides? Is there any particular instructions in doing a reversible quilt in this manner? Thank you for the help. |
I would thing the easiest way to do that would be to use the Quilt as You Go method. There are many tutorials (including at least one on this board). Just google it. And easiest again, would be 12 inch squares of fabric, separated by sashing.

Another option would be to see if their college authorizes fabric. Piece the front and then just use the collegiate fabric for the backing.

Reversible quilts by Sharon Pederson is a good one for same pattern reversibles. machine quilting in sections by Marti Mitchell is good also.

Here's one thread about that subject. https://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f...o-t295360.html
There was a more recent one, but I don't see it. The title was something like 'Too many quilt tops'. |
