You can check out the row by row experience website to find current shops. Another source is the CountryRegister or CountyRegister. I always forget what it's called, but in the back most states have a map showing current shops.

I have an app on my phone that shows all the quilt stores across the country.
Plus, if your traveling this June you can collect the row by row blocks from each quilt store. I will be in 4 states this summer and will make my row by row a memory quilt.

While in the Omaha/Lincoln area check out the International Quilt Museum. Also, Accuquilt HQ is in Omaha--not sure if worth the tour, but maybe your sister knows. And definitely plan a full day in Hamilton at MSQC--totally worth it--if you need a place overnite you'll need to go to Cameron, just about 10miles west of there and right on I-35.
Then in Springfield, Merrily We Quilt Along and Quilt Sampler are great--and also along the main thoroughfare of Glenstone (Quilt Sampler also on it further south) is the Fabric Outlet which has very cheap fabric that is last year/season designs but very good.

Do you have the quilters quide book. It has quilt shops listed all over the united states. MSQC is a must. 5 or 6 stores in this one little town. Jenny Doan has put Hamilton MO on the map and recvived that town, also created lots of jobs for folks in that town.

Anywhere else along the way you suggest we make a stop? Will marshals be worth it? Want to get it it itinerary all planned and mapped out. Thanks for any suggestions.

If it were me - I'd be going to the Missouri Star Quilt Co. in Hamilton MO. Leave room in the car for fabric...

Missouri Star Quilting is located on State Route 13 and 36. Great place to spend some time and relax. They have also opened a place for hubby while you look and shop. Fun, Fun
