I have the cover /case and use one of those folding, rolling luggage carts with a couple of bungee cords . Not aesthetically pleasing but cheap and it works

I have a sew perfect that I got from my dealer. I paid $100 as I needed the larger size for my Janome 7700. The bottom has supports , the tires are big and lots of pockets.

I have the Tutto. Not only is it great for transporting my sewing machine, there is also room for fabric, pattern and notions.

What's a good brand for a rolling sewing machine bag? I'm looking for something that is sturdy and will well protect my machine(s) to and from classes. If you have a brand you could recommend would you mind sharing your thoughts? Thanks!

tutto hands down! worth every penny. i bought two, one for machine and one for supplies. check their website for sales. Easy to maneuver, great protection for machine and saves your back!

I have 2 Tuttos: one for my FW and one for my Pfaff. My FW case fits in the Tutto, so I put my FW in her case and then in the Tutto for class.
Just watch for classes. |
While garage saleing one day, I found a scrapbooking tote that is more square & sturdy. It says "Crop In Style XXL" on the front. Retail was about $180 but the gal sold it to me for $10!! Was in perfect & clean condition - she said her kids didn't "scrap" any more. I have a Janome 3160 for classes & it holds the machine, foot pedal, cords, accessory box & even patterns/material when I go to class. Sturdy too. Maybe you could fine something similar on a lucky day or at some of the Goodwill, Savers, etc. stores.

Mine is a large tool bag from Home Depot. It has a sturdy handle and wheels. It is big enough for my Elna and good number of other things.

When I was deciding on a bag, I was torn between the ones with 4 wheels or two. I decided on the two wheels as it allows me to go up and down stairs without carrying the bag. For extra cushion, I covered some thin foam with fabric and lined the inside -including the bottom.

They just don't work for me. We live in the country, no sidewalks, so trying to pull the tote on the lawn or dirt is a pain. Then it doesn't want to fit in my little Ford Ranger so that becomes an issue. It's easier for me to carry it!
