I have a hand sharpner that i bought from walmart 10 years ago. its plastic the handles hold the blade and you rotate the blade the same number of time on both sides of the blade on the sharpner the mane if it is Tru-Sharp.

I have the Orbital which works great if your don't wait until it is really dull to sharpen.
