Okay, so we have Olfa, Dritz, Fiskars and more. Yesterday at the Pacific International Quilt Fest, everyone was ordering the Martelli ergonomically correct rotary cutter. What's your favorite and why?
I am a creature of habit, so Olfa is the rotary cutter I always reach for. I have a Fiskars 60mm that I will also use.
I have several and use the Fiskars more than the others. I like the way it fits in my hand.
tried martelli- wasnt crazy about it, im lefty, and the blade was wobbly, ill stick to my plain old straight olfa. And buy my blades 2@$1.99 at harbor freight, they are carpet cutting blades, they do the same job as the olfa n fiskars, but one can afford them at $1.00 each to throw them away!
good luck katz |
Love Love Love my Martelli rotary cutter--only use it! I can cut for hours with it and it doesn't make my hand hurt at all, like other ones do. LOVE their blades too! THey are the VERY best!!!
I have a few diff brands also, Martello also (do not like it at all) and I end up going to my very first beat up fiskars.
I love my Olfa that closes automatically when I let go of the handle. I have three other makes, but they all require me to physically put on the safety catch. The Olfa is the safest in my opinion.

Love my Olfa quick change cutter

i love my olfa self-closing cutter. i love not having to remember to close it every time i lay it down. it is very comfortable
