How do you keep the rotary blades sharp? I tried the sharpener thingies but doesnt seem to work for me. I use lots of blades when I am quilting and they get expensive.

Try cutting tinfoil with them. It works for me.

Thanks I will try that soon as I get back to my reg home. I am in the prosess of packing up the camper and going home for the winter, Yea back to my sewing room!!!!!!!!!!!

Go to houseofhanson.com, you can get blades VERY reasonable there.

When they get a little dull, I flip the blade and get a little more wear out of them. Then I just throw away and put a new one. Sharpening has never worked for me.
Here is a link for blades online if that will help. Good prices. http://www.lpsharp.com/3.html |
I bought a huge lot of them on Ebay - all olfa blades. I want to say I got 100 blades for like $50 or so - a few friends of mine and I went in on the purchase :)

Gee that was a good buy
