that's what I would do too. I chain piece two at a time starting at the left. I put the right piece on top of the left and continue chain piecing THAT ROW. Then go back and join 4 at a time, again putting right side on top of left. I complete one row at a time. Before I press, I also decide which way I am pressing the seams for rows 1,3,5,7,etc and then press the opposite way for rows 2,4,6,8,etc.

I'm a row person.
It makes so much more sense to my visually challenged brain to just put them together as they are laid out-- in rows. Pressing makes sense to me when they are in rows--much harder as 4 patches (to me).

Thanks for the advice. I tried to be very precise with cutting so I went with the rows. DGD picked the pink realtree camo for the back & wanted a brown "K." I had to put it on a circle to get it to stand out from the camo fabric. I went with no border & used a flanged binding to make it more modern looking.

It came out great! I love all the parts of it. Circle is so creative.
