For me, it felt awkward at first. But like anything else, the more you do it, the easier it is. I have most trouble with the circle ones. There's always a place that's awkward when coming back around on the circle.

The main trick is to remember to keep your foot against the ruler. Sounds obvious, but it's easy to start to wander.
I think you'll enjoy it. Watson |
I purchased the Westalee set this spring but since I don't get much time to sew during the summer months, I have only done a little test drive with them...I think they will be fun. Good luck Pudge.

I'm unfamiliar with this.
Do you need a special foot with this ruler? I have a Juki 2010Q |
Yes to SusieQOH, you do need a special foot that is taller so it doesn't sew over the foot. I too have the 2010 and love it.

I was thinking of trying the Westalee foot with basic ruler to quilt on my Babylock Jane which is a straight stitch machine with a decent sized harp. Before I drop $55 on the Westalee products, I'd appreciate feedback on how difficult it is to use the ruler from those who have tried. Does it feel really awkward at first? How long is the learning curve?
I took the plunge. Here is a great website https://www.punchwithjudy.com.au/sho...ies-and-tools/. With the exchange rate I got the foot, basic ruler set AND a forever access complete video ruler course for under $100. Check it out. |
