that's the way your supposed to do it, Right? lol
I do that a lot, I'm just now getting the hang of planning them out but to tell you the truth, a planned quilt gets boring after a while.

My favorite sampler quilts are the one with totally different blocks. That way you learn different things with each block and the quilt has many different things for your eyes to watch.

Yellow is not my favorite color, but I love your quilt!

Thought I'd just start down the list at quilterscache making whatever 12" blocks tickle my fancy and look challenging. Then just try different layouts until I like it.

The quilt would be king size so I'd need quite a few blocks!

I have been making a sampler quilt for the lasr several months. Whenever I don't feel like workong on my current project, I will make a couple of blocks. I am doing 12 inch blocks and I figure I will make fifty and then play with the layout. I have 24 done so far and I got my paterns from quiltercache also.

I think that sounds like a fun way to do it. God bless.

Pick whatever blocks you like - it will be unique and yours and you won't see it displayed anywhere else - LOVE the idea!
