I would have never thought of handing on the wall to baste! What a great idea! Do you hand a plastic sheet or something first to protect the wall from over-spray??? Also, do you spray the backing and then layer the batting or spray the batting on the floor and put it on the backing on the wall? Guess I should watch that video suggested!

Ok-just watched the video-it was great! Now I know how I will baste my snow globe quilt tomorrow! Thanks!!

One time, years ago, at the start of my quilting "career," I tried hanging a quilt from the ceiling, suspended from a long rod. Didn't work as well as I had hoped. _:-(_

The problem is, the quilt tends to sway while trying to pin; you need to support if from the back. Even with my long arms (I'm tall), I couldn't reach to the middle of the quilt from both sides. I know your question wasn't about this method but, just in case someone else starting wondering about suspending a quilt in order to pin it, my advice is to find a large wall and use the spray method!

everything here has stopped, my daughters father in law just passed away. Sarah just dropped off the boys while they headed to her mother in laws. Big Jerry has been sick with bone cancer..they gave him 6 to 9 months, God had other plans..he went in 2 weeks.

Please keep Diane and Jerry (MIL & SIL) in your prayers this evening..

So sorry to hear of his passing.

My uncle also had bone cancer. He was in terrible pain for several months, pain that medication couldn't abate. It's hard on the family to be told "months" only to have it turn into weeks but, given my uncle's experience, it's a difficult blessing probably that it was only weeks. <<< hugs >>> to all.

Prayers to your family - death is never easy, even when you are expecting it.

This looks good, but I don't have that much empty wall space in my small house. But have been eyeing my shower curtain area....
