I like it without the sashing.

I like it better with the sashing, but I seem to be the odd man out, so to speak.

without. Very pretty!

It is very nice either way, but I would prefer it with no sash.

I usually like sashing, but it just breaks it up too much to suit my eye on this one. It's not a pattern you want to break up. There's no reason to separate the blocks, so it feels wrong to me. I won't go on. Beautiful quilt! Gee you did a great job on it! My compliments! If you're worried about size, I'd just make the border wider. Oh, and I'd go for a darker, browner border. Don't ask me why. That's just the way I see it. Not real dark -- medium dark. And it wouldn't hurt to use a 2" border all round, with maybe corner squares, using the brightest colors from your blocks, just to pull those colors out a bit, make them shine! (you know, one bright color for the long, skinny border, another bright color for the 4 corner squares -- all taken from your block colors). And then add the medium dark brown print -- HAS to be a print -- and Wow! That's one awesome quilt.
These are just my ideas. Feel free to ignore at will. Warmest Regards, |

No sash

I like without....sashing spreads the design too much...in my opinion.

I'm one usually to go without sashing......like flower gardens around houses, I like the 'natural' look without borders; and this one looks so natural as is. Pretty quilt.

I like it without the sashing. I noticed that the pattern shows a high contrast between the background color in each block, so you'll want to keep track of that too. It's going to be easy for you to plan this one, since you can lay out all of your blocks before you start sewing. I'm sure it will be gorgeous when you're done!
