Without white sashing -

MoanaWahine 11-04-2011 04:05 PM

I like it without sashing. If you need to make the quilt larger and need the sashing, try either a blue or orange fabric with the corner stones the opposite.

sewmorethings 11-04-2011 04:13 PM

I vote no sashing

hensandhollyhocks 11-04-2011 04:21 PM

Just put the blocks together the way they are because it is great without sashing

I agree! Less is more!

Seems to be unanimous. I like it with no sashing too.

juliea9967 11-05-2011 07:13 AM

You can do sashing if you want, but I don't think you need it. It looks great the way it is.

Jazzz 11-05-2011 07:15 AM

No sashing

joyce blint 11-05-2011 07:25 AM

Without. By the way, nice job!

sew1 11-05-2011 10:21 PM

Without here.

QuiltedCritterLady 11-05-2011 11:11 PM

Your blocks are very pretty! I like them without the sashing. If you want to use sashing, what about something with tiny specks of orange or blue or both? I feel for you though, because sometimes it is nearly impossible to find exactly what you have in mind.

MacThayer 11-06-2011 12:53 AM

Oh, I totally would not use the white sashing with such deeply pigmented colors. It would just break up the whole look of the quilt. Since you are using such color saturated colors, if you really want to add a sash, I'd go a step further with the depth of color, and use something like deep purple, no pattern. The purple would really set off your other colors nicely. Just don't make the sash too wide. Just a narrow sash, just enough to "square up" your blocks, and I think you'd be happy with that.

jitkaau 11-06-2011 03:03 AM

It is more dynamic without the white.

stitchengramie 11-06-2011 03:06 AM

A solid sashing might work better.

Lady-T 11-06-2011 04:05 AM

My vote would be for NO sashing...

gailinva 11-06-2011 04:07 AM

Without sashing!!!! Will look great.

catladyquilts 11-06-2011 04:11 AM

I think no additional sashing, the orange & blue look great by themselves

mema5 11-06-2011 04:16 AM

My vote is for no extra sashing. Is it a Christmas present for "lucky" loved one?

carolaug 11-06-2011 04:20 AM

no sashing...looks great!

Drue 11-06-2011 04:49 AM

I like it better without the sashing as well.

Without the white sashing!

BETTY62 11-06-2011 12:15 PM

I like it without the white.

teddysmom 11-06-2011 01:59 PM

The white sashing takes AWAY from the quilt. I say "don't sash".
