I was really pleased to read that trolleystation made my Ultimate Scrap Quilt. This is the pattern that I designed to use up all the bits and pieces that my guild had accumulated for Community Outreach quilts. We had lots of fabric but nothing to co-ordinate into a quilt. The blocks are actually 24" and only need to be matched in one place and are simple enough for a beginner. The cutting is easy too as you just need 8 1/2" and 4 1/2" strips sub-cut into the necessary sizes. We have put some of the weirdest fabrics together in these quilts and they always look good. Twelve blocks makes a 72" X 96" quilt. Our guild backs them with a sheet and uses Polydown batting. I sent the pattern to Marilyn to post on her blog as she does so many quilts to give away and I thought others might like it too.

I'll try to post a picture tomorrow with help from DD. I've never posted a picture on this updated
site before so hopefully it will not be a problem. |
In the archive section there is a design called "Rocky Road to Kansas". I had never done a scrap quilt before but thought I would try this one. I am now totally hooked on this design and it uses the smallest of pieces. I must admit that I have not done a full size quilt, just lap ones. Thank you so much to the person who thought this one up - sorry I can't remember. Happy scrapping and best wishes from the UK!!

just remember to reduce the size of the picture (the pixels) because the new board has limited the size of files that can be uploaded. i would love to see the quilt.

These are a couple of scrap quilts I made from Bonnie Hunters quiltville web sight. Scrappy Pineapple blossom and Sisters Choice. I love Bonnies free patterns. Both quilts were very easy to make.

I'm so boring. I like 9-Patch. What can I say? It's my very favorite quilt block. You can do so much with it. I'm getting ready to make my DD a scrappy Civil War Fabric 9-patch in the Harvard Square setting.
