I changed my mind at the last minute on the binding of this quilt. I had planned to go with the blue of the last border, but decided to try to use up the rest of the strips from my jelly roll. There weren't enough of any one fabric, so I just cut them in 14 inch segments and put them in the same order they were in the quilt. I have never done a scrappy border before, but I think this looks pretty good.
What do you think? Did I make the right decision? The binding is a bit hard to see, but maybe you can get the sense of it. Dina |
I like it!

Successful choice on two fronts, love the pretty binding and it keeps those strips out of your scrap pile! Congrats!

I love scrappy bindings and your scrappy binding looks great.

BEAUTIFUL! You did great!

It looks wonderful. Beautiful.
I save my leftover bindings and use them on scrappy quilts. I just sew them together, I think from now on I will cut them in same size strips. I like the way you did yours. |
I love it! I have that same jelly roll because I loved the colors. You have inspired me to get busy and use it. Did you do this with only one jelly roll?
