I too need to decide what to do with my scraps. I think that I might just start bagging them up and taking them to a guild meeting. If no one wants them then they can go into a doggy mattress

You can make tote bags, place mats, hot pads, even a scrappy quilt or give them to the goodwill as there are others that can use these scraps.

How about a pineapple quilt?

I just bought Gylene Fitsgeralds new book Trash to Treasure Pineapple Quilts. It uses 1.5" strips, some as small as 2". Makes an incredible quilt and uses all those small pieces and it is the easiest Pineapple quilt ever.

I don't have a problem with scraps.. I'm making five of the same scrap quilts at the same time.. Plus I'm making a postage stamp quilt..

There are so many of us here on the board who are financially challenged, lol. Any of us would be greatful for your scraps and most would be happy to pay the postage when they can afford to. Just post in the offers section and rarely do they last long before being claimed. For the larger pieces you can usually sell them here if you don't want to just give them to someone. You can also adopt one of us to send them to, like Patski does. I am available for adoption!! Smiles. I live on disability and also make donation quilts, but I am not unique in that. So many of our board members do the same.

Quiltville.blogspot.com is a great site giving suggestions on how to cut your scraps into usable pieces and some quilt ideas as well.

I use mine for mug rugs and I'm thinking of making some place mats for my new round table. I just have so many of them. I Volunteer at the Hospital making pillows, so I don't throw those scraps either. so I have a variety.

I cut mine into 2", 2 1/2", 3", 3 1/2", and 5 " squares. Great for making scrappy Irish chains and other scrap quilts. Do not keep anything under 2" though. That is just too small.
