Welcome to the club! ha, ha

I think we have all done stuff like that! Yesterday i was embroidering a big butterfly. Needed to change the bobbin and put the hoop back, but only on the wrong pins and ended up with a mess that I had to take out because it was not stitched where it should have been! :)

Oh - I'm the QUEEN of the seam ripper! I definately can RIP with the best of them - that comes from plenty for practice.
|
You all make me feel better. At least I now know I am not alone. Why can't they make a beep for that like they do for the bobbin when it is out of thread?
|
When I do that (& we won't get into how often) I just walk away til another day or at least a few hours or after a nap.

I am new to quilting and my embroidery machine, and have taken many seams out, etc, etc, etc, sewed material to the embroidery design that should not have been sewn. (there is so much to remember). You name it and I've screwed it up, but the beauty is that we learn from "our mistakes"..... well sometimes :)

ohhhhhh man I was working on a rag quilt while it was snowing I could not get it right no matter what I did!!!
this is the other way wrong sides together I kept putting right sides together. (I was making a jean rag quilt for my middle son) I have done what you are talking about my seam ripper sometimes gets use as much as my sewing machine |
WE have all been there!! Makes you feel like an idiot.

You made me laugh. The one of the worst things I did was sew some block pieces together so they faced the wrong way and had to rip it out. Did the same thing on the same block about 4 times in a row before I just gave up. In my defense this was after I had worked 14 hours a day for 4 days and was missing sewing so much, I just had to sew something. Worst after sleeping 12 hours, I still sewed it wrong. So I feel your pain. Can you give the name of your tato-er? I think I could use one too.
