I vote for doing a small (maybe 1/2" to 1" inner border in the bright red (?) strip. It's the color on the bottom picture -- far left. But make the strip run from the inside to the outside...so you get all the colors. You could use up all your striped scraps and do it with a 6" sections or a 6" piece of each color. THEN put on a white border!!!! It think it would be outstanding!

My inclination is that you do not need a border! Just bind it with a scrappy binding of the fabrics you have used. Do you need the extra 6"? or could you accomplish that with a bed skit? If you need the width ... just go with a plain white border, no other fabrics. Do some quilting in that white space. And do the scrappy binding. The plain border will not take away from the quilt, whereas print blocks would, as you're going into something different. |

I just love Fandango, too, Irish Rose. I love your quilt!! And yours, Carslo! Aren't the colors and patterns in this line just wonderful? I've had so much fun so far making this.
Amandasgramma--hmmm!! I'll have to look at what scraps I have left! I was thinking about ordering some of the striped fabric for the binding, but it would look great in a border! |

Well, no I'm not...not available!! The Kona coral looks really bold and bright. Amy Butler's solid coral looks a little softer by comparison....of course, who knows on a computer screen. |
OMG, Fandango fabric is one of my favorites. I love what you did with the fabric and the white, very modern. Do you have enough fabric to do a pieced color border of all the fabrics you used? Beautiful!!!!
