Believe it or not, You Tube shows different techniques if you are looking for something in particular. Found out about it on the Connecting Threads Website--who knew??

Carol Doak - "Your First Quilt Book"
Alex Anderson - "Start Quilting with Alex Anderson" - leaflet
Nancy Zieman - "Quilt with Confidence"
Better Homes and Gardens - "Complete Guide to Quilting"

These I feel are wonderful step-by-step books on quilting.

You could also try youtube and search for patchwork, and there are many quilt sites that offer information.

That was my first book too. I also like the Rodale Quilting library (they have different topics per book).

Recently, I have seen some fabulous clips on You-Tube on just about ANYTHING quilting and don't forget the guides in the Tutorial section of this forum.

Sharon Schamber's web site has many tutorials. If they're too advanced for you now, bookmark them, or save in favorites to look at when you're a more 'seasoned' quilter. She's a terrific teacher. Whoops - I should have said her site is on YouTube

Moose, I just discovered the quilting videos on utube, some are of Sharon Schamber, and plus lots of others. Just go there and search for quilting. :-)

That is what I was going to suggest. They cover it all.
