I decided to go with the Arrow Marilyn sewing cabinet and FedEx just delivered it!! I am sooooo excited because now I'll actually be able to sew without my machine jumping up and down on the card table. LOL!! Can't wait for my husband to get home so he can put it together for me. He's such a good guy! :-D

Yeah.

Rose L 06-21-2011 07:45 AM

How nice for you! Does that model have the quilting add on for the back of the table?

dglvr 06-21-2011 07:49 AM

Tinabodina 06-21-2011 07:54 AM

It does and I ordered it at the same time. Going to put the idea out there later I'd like to get a new Janome machine. ;-)

I found mine on ebay and shipping was included along with a free insert. The cost of the table was the same as other places online but the shipping and insert saved me probably $75.

HAHAHA!! Funny how we all start on the trusty card table.

Chasing Hawk 06-21-2011 08:29 AM

Me and directions don't get along too well. LOL!! Besides that the boxes are really heavy and the FedEx guy put them in our shed since it's suppose to rain so don't think I can get them to the house. My husband and I were involved a motorcycle accident 2 years ago and it left me with a left arm and hand that doesn't work too well.

Maia B 06-21-2011 09:04 AM

Congrats! Your machine will enjoy a proper throne.

Quilter7x 06-21-2011 09:06 AM

I hope you're going to have pizza or something simple for dinner tonight, cause once he puts it together, you're not gonna want to cook! Congratulations on your table!

I have the same exact one that I purchased from Sears years ago. I orginally wanted it in white but they had this one in storage and apparently it had been there quite a long time. I guess they wanted to get rid of it so they offered it to me for half price. I just could not resist the deal. It has served me well and looks brand new after all these years. I did order the acrylic insert for my Bernina. Enjoy your new cabinet.

Hurray! I know how excited you are! I sewed on a card table for years. Then DH gave me an L-shaped table for my serger and sewing machine. At the time I was sewing with an all metal White machine. Heavy! That machine really made that card table boogie. I am so happy for you.

KimS 06-21-2011 03:07 PM

Wanted to say thanks to everyone for sharing my excitement. My grandson will be here at 5:00 a.m. tomorrow so won't be able to stay up all night sewing. Darn! LOL!!

twixbar 06-21-2011 04:29 PM

Very nice enjoy.

KimS 06-21-2011 06:54 PM

I went ahead and got all the pieces laid out in the livingroom floor and started putting it together. Had gotten through several steps when Mike got home. He took over and it's almost finished. Still have to put the drawers in, adjust the mechanism and then she's ready to go. :-D

PS Stitcher 06-22-2011 04:52 AM

KimS 06-22-2011 05:56 AM

Got the drawers put in this morning so all that's left is adjusting the mechanism. I had lots and lots of help since my 16 month old grandson is here. LOL!!

Stitchit123 06-22-2011 06:21 AM

Thats a real nice cabinet. Now that you won't be chasing your machine you'll be able to finish quilts in record time and you can put your running shoes away :D
