Before we moved, I had a desk (40" x 60") that had been cut out to fit my machine with a board underneath to make the machine level with the top. I did not have the room here for that big a piece of furniture so I have the large Gidget table and it works. The desk was cool because I could fit my 24x36 cutting mat on it too.

IKEA has great, inexpensive, yet sturdy tables. They are portable, lightweight, and store nearly flat as the legs detach via a simple screw in style.

I was going to suggest IKEA. There are tons of ideas on pinterest and on here to set up exactly what you need. A friend made me a table. Mine fits in a corner of my sewing room. Lots of space behind the machine for when I am FMQ. He needed a bridesmaid dress altered. I pretty much had to remake the whole dress. He made me my table in exchange. I am slowly adding IKEA pieces to it.

I went to Goodwill and bought a large desk with a side piece and believe it or not it is great. And the best the total 9.99. The top was scratched and yukky looking so I put some peel and stick floor tile and it works wonderful.

I bought from Tracey's Tables about 2 years ago. They delivered all the way to NM, brought it into the sewing room, set it up ( put on the drawer knobs...not a lot of setup!) and it's a great table. I really enjoy it. It's not cheap, but not nearly the price of the high-end tables.

I'd looked into Craigslist, but I have a large machine and most of the cutouts in existing tables won't fit it. Machine is a Brother VQ3000.

I made a sewing table using an IKEA table and love it. I got the basic directions off the internet and then modified it a bit to suit my machine. If you can use a jig saw (and I used a router to finish but you can do it without) an a screwdriver and wrench it is doable. My machine came with the acrylic extension. If yours doesn't have something like that then just cut the hole to go around the machine. I found one online for $300. I love it. It has the shelf that recesses for making machine level with the table. It's manual not motorized. If that is not too much money I will look up the model for you and where I purchased for you.

I have one that looks like this one, but I think maybe an Arrow? I paid about that much for it a few years back, from Allbrands (no affiliation). I can adjust it for my machines, but sometimes it is easier to put a magazine under a low one. It is pretty sturdy. I haven't tried folding it up. No need for me.
