I was pondering just keeping the 3050. It is 9 years old and still works great. In the meantime, it is getting tuned up! Sandy |
your old one was just tuned up and fixed.....it should run like new. I would keep it for a second one.

Congratulations. I have been fighting the urge to go look at machines for several weeks. There is nothing wrong with my machine, but I would like one with a larger throat area. I just get the urge every year around this time to buy myself something extravagant.

it wasn't an impulse buy.
you had been considering it for some time. given the price in combination with the value, you can be confident that it was simply the right time to act on your consideration. the scissors button and extension table are each worth their weight in gold. together ... a pure delight! |
Good for you...it is a dandy machine and have considered getting one myself, especially since it is light enough to take to classes and still has all the bells and whistles. Hope you enjoy your new Janome.

Enjoy your new machine! I would love a thread cutter on my away machine. Keep the old one, you never know when it will come in handy. Every once and a while I have a visitor who wants to try their hand at sewing, other machines are better to have around for them to test their skills. It's so hard to let someone else sit down at my "baby".

Do it! Negotiate a good price too. They won't want to have to count it at inventory time. Never hurts to ask for the "best price" esp in December. sandy |

Congratulations!!! Enjoy your new machine. I also have a 'car' husband so I can relate!
I kept my old machine too. My granddaughter like to come and sew with me sometimes and she uses that machine. Always good to have a back up, too. |
I agree and happy for you it was on sale. With my hubs it's tools. Pricey ones once a month.
