I've tried the stick on LED strips, didn't work well for me. I order this one from Amazon, I love it, so much light and no shadow. It is expensive but definitely worth it.

I have the LED light bars for a long arm over my cutting table and one over my sewing machine for home. It was cheaper then adding new ceiling lights and no invasive work to be done. The only problem is the LED light bars do not last as long as stated. I have to change them out often. I did have an electrician check the outlet and he said it was just the quality of the bulbs. It's worth it for the great light but I would recommend another brand. This is the Grace Luminess bars.

I use a clip on OTT light with a goose neck. I clip in on the handle of my machines, and with the goose neck I can move the light around and position it exactly where I want it.

I have several of the manuevable lights that I used with my machines. I don't want to stick stuff on my vintage machines so this has been my solution. I've found the Stella lights to be the best. They have a bright no shadow type of light. I plan to replace my Ott Lites with Stella lights as the Ott Lites burn out. I got a clamp on one for next to my serger for my birthday. I love these lights. They are pricey but work so well.

I might try the strip lights for my Juki since its in a table and sits were it's hard to get good light on the needle area.

Bonnie Hunter, of Quiltville, recommended this lamp. I bought one and I am extremely happy with it. Bright LED light, goose neck and slim design so it takes up very little space. It is available from IKEA, which also ships. It comes as a tabletop, and a clamp on. It comes in three colors: white, black and red. It is called Navlinge

I have this lamp on one side of my machine maneuvered to shine directly on my needle plate. I use another regular table top situated on the other side machine, focused on the same space. It prevents shadows when you have two lamps. I'm going to get one more from IKEA and replace the "regular" lamp.

Does your machine have an LED bulb? Simply changing from a regular to an LED bulb increased the amount of light to the sewing area on my machine. It's a simple fix but might be worth a try.
