I know that even with my glasses on, I still need really good light AND my magnifying glass to see the older ones.

I made a 'Needle Saver' for my 'slightly used' machine needles of different types. If the needles are still fairly good I stick them in the appropriate place in the Needle Saver. This way if I insert a needle that has been used and don't get great results..I know it was previously used... so I save the needle packages for only the brand new needles.. Hope this makes sense..... and yes.. I DO need a magnifier to see the size!!
Many years ago, the top of the package that used to flip open was magnified so you could see the needle sizes. |

Same here-I don't like throwing them out if they still work. I use the post-it method most of the time. I've been planning to make a needle case from felted wool.
