I have 2 Janome machines, including a 7700, and I find that they're both much happier with poly threads for FMQ, though cotton's fine for piecing and using with the walking foot. I like So Fine and also Superior's Rainbows in gorgeous multi-colours, which I often use for FMQ.

Hi blahel, I don't shop on line very often as we have some good store in Queensland that sell fabric for around $5.00 to $10.00 a mtr regularly. If I do shop on line its usually Sydney as postage is good when they have there sales and sometimes even get free. The Craft Depot in Sydney is a good place to try. I don't do overseas as it is to expensive. Very hot and stormy here today, good old Queensland never lets you down in the summer. Cheers Quilter qld

Hi Neesie, I am going to give So Fine a go. My local shop is going to get some in and is going to match the internet price. Will look into Superiors Threads to see if we have a distributor here in Australia.
