http://www.judymartin.com/Images/Photos/davis.jpg I agree that Judy Martin's method is difficult. I much prefer as much strip piecing and 'mass rotary cutting' as possible; do not like template piecing. Hang in there!!! |
Thank you ladies...will keep on looking for the maker...

I made a variation of this pattern, but it was a small version, wall hanging size. I love the ohio stars and snails trail together. My only advice is to be careful when you lay it out prior to sewing. I turned one of the snails trail blocks the wrong way, and didn't notice until the quilt was finished. I used dark and light green and dark and light blue with white background. I am going to make this again in a larger quilt. Such a beautiful pattern!

All of you making this pattern are brave souls without a doubt. I wish you all the best of luck. All versions are lovely

I think your quilt will be beautiful with the colors you said you are going to use. It can be very overwhelming but I think if you do one block at a time and soon you will have conquered it. I always like a challenge and have been studying that pattern that I have-it is in a book and I think I can get it mastered. It will just take you time and keep at it-I am sure you will be happy with the results.
