I read, counted cross stitch, I know how to crochet but haven't done anything recently, sudoku puzzles, and I play Freecell hand held solitare game, and right now I am trying to work on that toothbrush rag rug.

I spend about 3 hours almost everyday at the piano--one with my son and his lesson and the other two practicing my own pieces. That's taking up all my free time lately but I still find time to read these boards and keep up on sports!!

qnana 03-12-2011 02:12 PM

I read every day, garden in all seasons, love to cook, knit and hand embroidery on occasion, do oil painting when the mood strikes, and sew for my family and home when inspired (lol).

Do I dog things. I run agility with my young dog and I do Rally with my older dog. I have a retired agility champ who now holds down the couch and cheers on the youngsters.

dhanke 03-13-2011 12:40 AM

I love to read, I found that I can read large print books while on the treadmill and also listen to my mp3 player at the same time, woo-hoo, triple tasking! I also listen to books on CD while driving to work and back, I have the perfect route with no traffic lights or stop signs and very few vehicles on the road, otherwise I'm afraid I'd get too engrossed.
Also love to garden, can't wait for the annual miracle of planting little tiny seeds and watching them turn into beautiful flowers and wonderful veggies.

I knit, crochet, needlepoint, crewel embroidery, regular embroidery, counted cross stitch, sewing (clothes), reading and target shooting. Plus I have 4 dogs and a hubbie that keep me busy. I also enjoy gardening, scrapbooking and serving in various ways at church. It's challenging these days to try to fit it all in - so much I want to do and there are still only 24 hours in a day.

mjsylvstr 03-13-2011 05:24 AM

enjoy doing some sorts of crafting.......and......

although not a hobby, hubby and I do enjoy visiting the casinos.

Luck is not always with us so I should stick to the quilting !!!!!

Suzi 03-13-2011 05:27 AM

You gals are just so talented and busy - I loved reading all the posts. Great pets - rats!!!
I like to nap most of all (have chronic anemia), read, then photography. Did crochet for 50 years and then carpal tunnel reared it's nasty head. I breed and raise dogs but I guess you really can't call that a hobby - it's more like 100% work! Did endurance and competitive riding up until a couple of years ago as we always had horses .......... Don't really garden because if the deer don't eat everything that I plant, the slugs, voles, bunnies and turkeys do. It took forever for me to smarten up and quit planting just to feed the wildlife ... no, fences don't work! Love my life --------- and it sounds like you all love yours, also!

jolo 03-13-2011 05:30 AM

Spinning (yarn), knitting, rug hooking, some weaving and school (only 6 weeks left!) camping, reading and listening to audiobooks. I have quilted on and off for years and years, and since I have been in school for 17 months, I have recently picked it back up.... I wanted to -make- something, other than words on a page.

jeannie t 03-13-2011 06:06 AM
