I just bought a 6"one. Sullivan's ...The Cutting Edge #38204. I hope to try it out this coming week and I'll let you know what I think about it.

I bought a Dritz Blade Sharpener several years ago, and haven't bought a rotary blade since. Knowing my budget at the time, I'll bet it wasn't over $5 at that time.

I agree it's the Rulers that have the rotary blade sharpeners on them, seems weird that the cutting mat I just saw them in Keepsake quilting's catlog,

DH knows about the grit/honing stuff and he said don't worry about the grit flaking off until the blade was honed down to nothing. That's how long this diamond carbide stuff holds up. I ordered the 6-1/2in x 18-1/2 and the 4-1/2in x 8-1/2. I think it is great to have one product perform two different useful tasks. That will save me money over time.

They are wonderful for classes and retreats as well as next to your sewing machine. I wouldn't be without one !! Excellent Christmas gift. The Olfa was more expensive but they both do the job.
