Thanks for all the replies.

Today, I might actually get a test quilt on the frame. I found a couple "cheater" quilts in my stash closet in the "annex".
I will let you know how it goes.

Someone seems a little miffed -- lost her bed?

Elaine433 06-15-2012 10:05 AM

Congratulations on your new baby. Lucky you. Please keep us informed on this new machine as I am sure that a number of us have been thinking of the same one.

katsewnsew 06-15-2012 10:12 AM

Congrats, you lucky thing! Oh I wish I had the room for one! Get busy and send pics!!!

Congrats on your new machine! Here's to happy quilting! :)

I called Baileys and was pleased to discover that they have a layaway plan! I am looking at the 13' with a stitch regulator. I do not need the frame- I have a Grace Gem Q Pro frame with the aluminum carriage upgrade. This machine will fit it. They are so reasonable in pricing and the machines are lightweight. Thanks for sharing, I had never heard of Baileys before this thread. Now I think I will be able to afford one.

Enjoy your new machine! And it came with pattern board(s)? How lucky for you! ummm....Kola does look a bit miffed...probably expected to be included on the decision to remove the bed, lol.

MzMcKee 06-15-2012 04:04 PM

Congrats on your new set up! And for Koda, you should make a quilted bed to replace her big bed... :) Just a thought. >giggle<

Have fun with your machine...I think a LAQ is on everyone's bucket list! Enjoy breaking in that new machine "smell".

Very nice. Have fun. What size room do you have it in?

Thanks, the room is about 12 x 14. I have the frame about in the middle of the room pushed closer to the wall with the hanging quilts. Only other furniture in there is a chair for Kola and a table for my Ipod speakers and a cute little dresser.
Oh, and an old trunk I use as a table to store the LA stuff on.

Hi Betty,

How is everything? Thanks for the reply.

Chasing Hawk 06-16-2012 09:28 AM

Thanks to all who have replied. Today is the second day messin' with the machine.
I did some research last night, here on the forum and all over Youtube. Today I am going to reload the machine, re-thread it and try again.
I may end up getting the stitch regulator Chuck has for sale. The machine runs a tad to fast for me at the moment. Maybe with a little more practice I will get used to it.

On their website it says, "Limited Quantities of Classroom Bailey's Home Quilters available soon. (Each with less than 10 hours use and manufactured during 2011)" Has anyone asked them how much they are selling these for?

Congratulations on your new machine. Just relax when using it and have fun.
