I would not try to take the quilt sandwich apart at this point; you are likely to end up with a big mess. Find a longarmer who will quilt the already spray-basted quilt. The longarmer can baste fabric strips to the top and bottom and roll the quilt as a whole.

I also would try to find someone who could quilt it AS IS. You just might end up making a worse mess. Good Luck.

Same here. I had great expectations that I would hand quilt my grandmother's 90th birthday present. I hand basted using water soluable thread. Then I gave up on the whole hand quilting idea. Really, I should have known better that I'd never follow through on it.
My longarmer took it and quilted it without taking it apart. She never mentioned any problems. Came back from her beautifully quilted. I bound it and then threw in the washing machine. Granny LOVED it.
