All of us have been to the I give up point at one time or another, but because this is someting that we love to do, we keep at it! My quilts are ok, they will never be in a show and I am ok with that too!! I enjoy making them and filling them with love. We are never to old to stop learning and we keep doing what we love!! Just remember you are just as good as everyone else!!!

The same thing happened to me NO DON'T GIVE UP... just join a group for beginners... that is what I did I thought by joining b o m I would be able to do it ,but that wasn't the case. Now I have been quilting since 2006... & love every minute of it , just start out simple..

How do you learn if you give up? Stay with it, you'll be glad you did.

Not everyone has the same quilting abilties. These ladies started off the same as you and worked their way up. If you give up you will never get better. And when you join a group like that it is expected that not everyone quilts the same. I think you are too hard on yourself. Kim

Stay in and learn, ask questions, take advice and make new friends. What difference does it really make if your blocks arent perfect?? Will your life change for the better if they are??? Your life will change when you learn and grow and make new friends. :)

Everyone has a first quilt. The first quilt isn't perfect, but it is the one you learn the most when you make it.

Don't give up. You can do it!

I just throw myself on the mercy of the others in the class - if they don't know that you are struggling, they can't help you and most quilters like to teach and pass on useful tips. Don't wait!

Don't give up and don't be so hard on yourself. I started quilting with the BOM. Just think "1 block done a month" and at the end of the year, you'll have 12 blocks and your quilt. You'll learn along the way and will be proud of yourself.

keep at it - you will be so proud to have made the quilt on your bed.
