You guys are awful!!! LOL I would take mine up and give him a quick lesson on how to use the machine. If you don't, instead of A phone call saying he messed up trying, you are going to come home to a stack of mending that needs to be done!!
|
oh my. i guess i'd tell him, but then say ASK NEXT TIME
|
well, you know your hubby and what works for you, lol...
BUT, I have to say: mine is in for lash with a wet noodle...I didn't know the male species had so many out there, that would vacuum, and dust etc. Think my MAN is malfunctioning, or faking it! :? Like all the appliances in the house, he wouldn't touch my sewing machines. He's afraid of breaking out in lovely pink hives  |
My hubby knows better than to do more than look at one of my sewing machines   -- after all, he does have ham radio equipment that I could wreck havoc with if I set my mind to it :D :D
|
better tell him the truth, my wife would. although now i know what i'm doing and my wife hasnt sewn in 2 dozen yrs. now it would be her that broke it.
|
What an honest man. He didn't have to tell you.
Sure you should tell him the truth. What goes around comes around they say |
LOL.. Glad it was just minor adjustments  Hey I would be thrilled that 1) he tried to do the repair himself 2) He admitted to "maybe" breaking the machine and 3) he didn't know what he was doing. It was a very rough day for him
|
I sure enjoyed reading this. It's good for a laugh. I'm glad everything worked out. I must say, I wish he could have actually finished the pocket on your machine. I would have loved to have seen a picture of his colorful pocket!

And I didn't even mention it after the first conversation. After all, what goes around does come around.

Hi,
I had to get a new one recently. My husband was trying to be helpful when he messed the old one up. He did it taking it apart at the front to clean it, he swears he used the manual. re: the taking stuff apart, WHY?? do men never get rid of the habits they had as small boys!! It now makes a graining noise & chews up the thread. The new one however works like a dream. He is banned from going near this one!! |
lmao good for him on trying and telling you he broke it. Deb I would check it out and if not broken let him know what he did wrong and then show him how to change the foot, you never know he might become your sewing partner.
