I have a Koala chair. It is tall as I am tall and most chairs are too low.

I have an Arrow sewing chair and LOVE it. They are made for sewing, come in very cute fabrics, and the seat lifts up for storage. I used to use an office chair, but it always rolled a little wile I was sewing. The Arrow chair still has rollers but stays put while sewing. The seat is quite wide so there's a lot of re-positioning that is possible and has a great wide back support. I can't believe how great it is to use a chair designed for sewing. Pricey (about $200) but worth it.

I have a chair like DonnaC. Different name since I got it from Office Depot for $99 on sale. It is wonderful & since the arms move up & can get as close to my machine as I need to but can put them down for hand work.

I have an office chair with arms. I don't mind it at all. I personally am too clumsy and fearful of a rolling stool rolling right out from under me. I like to steady myself on the arms and make sure I'm planting my bum firmly and accurately !

I got mine at Target. It is made out of Bungee strips and conforms to the body depending on your mood!!!! Well, at least my mood~ It has the seat and the back and 6 bungees for the back and 7 bungees for the seat. At first I thought I was nuts, and then it got so comfortable. It has the wheels and scoots around. I love it. AND IT WAS NOT EXPENSIVE. I don't buy the chairs with the arm rests - they only get in my way and I end up having to pay for them anyhow. Good Sitting!!!!! Edie

I use the basic office type chair. It has a back but no arms. I like being able to roll around and lean back to stretch or think or whatever. My sewing table is multi-purpose...by need not by desire! I cut, draw, design, look through patterns, sew as well as quilt so I like having the chair with a back.

My chair is a folding chair. When I am finished at the machine, I fold it up so I can move around the room. Don't get me wrong, I love my little sewing room. It holds the bulk of my stash, two sewing machines (two working projects). Plus, my knitting, hand embroidery, counted cross stitch, locker hooking, and rug hooking supplies. I even do a little reading and TV watching in there. My folding chair serves me well and I only wish I had thought of it earlier.

I, recently, bought a desk chair from Walmart for $69 which I love because it raises higher than most. It was only online but delivered to the store - has blue fabric seat and back, no arms. Sorry I don't have exact info.

I have three sewing stations in my quilt room and over time, have collected yard/estate sale finds. Two of my chairs have low arm rests and supportive backs. The third is armless. All are on wheels. My flooring is porcelain tile so I glide around quite easily. Thanks for the tip on cleaning the chair rollers. It's amazing how much collects in there! I did not spend any more than $20 on each one.
