sidewinder
Are they worth the money???
|
In my opinion no. I just take a few minutes and wind lots of bobbins at once. :)
|
I love mine and would replace it in a heartbeat if something happened to it.
|
I have one also and just used it this morning. It works great for me although I did have to take the first one back because it did not work. Anyway, I like being able to wind bobbins off the machine when needed.
PS: If I remember right, you have to make sure it will accommodate your particular make machine bobbins. I think it tells you on the box what won't work but it's been a couple of years since I bought mine so I am not sure that is still true or not. |
yes. I use mine all the time, as I have several machines and one will not let you wind bobbins on it.. I cannot use it to load bobbins for my topaz30 embroidery machine by Husbvarna but do use it to wind bobbins for my quilter.. I have two of them and keep one by my workhorse machine all the time..
get them on sale or with a 50% coupon at Joanns |
Yes, they're worth it. I bought mine with half price coupon, though. I have a machine where the bobbin winder died, and the sidewinder was cheaper than getting the bobbin winder fixed. Plus it was easier than filling bobbins with an electric drill.
|
I thought about it. Then again I have 2 machines and I get 2 at a time winding. Doesn't take that long. I try to wind right before I clean the machines. That way when I get ready to use the machine there is no lint. I also clean both machines at the same time. Done done done.
